Description

Keep your cherished boots in peak condition with the R.M. Williams Red Cedar Boot Tree - an essential care accessory for heritage leather boots and premium footwear. Crafted from aromatic red cedar wood and modelled on R.M. Williams boot lasts, these boot trees help preserve the shape of your boots while absorbing moisture that can weaken leather over time. Whether you’re storing boots between wears or allowing them to dry after use, this boot tree promotes longevity, reduces creasing, and leaves a fresh cedar scent inside the boot. Designed to fit most sizes and built with timeless quality, this accessory is a must-have for anyone who values smart boot care and long-lasting leather performance.

Key Features:

  • Premium Red Cedar Construction: Made from natural red cedar wood that absorbs moisture, acids and salts from inside boots, helping prevent leather cracking and deterioration.

  • Shape Maintenance: Helps retain the original form of your boots, smoothing out creases and wrinkles that develop with wear.

  • Natural Freshness: The aromatic cedar wood leaves a pleasant, woody scent and helps reduce odour inside boots and your wardrobe.

  • Leather-Friendly: Cedar’s natural oils can also help deter insects and protect your footwear investment.

  • Spring-Loaded Design: Builds gentle tension inside the boot to support the heel and toe - ideal for everyday boot care.

  • Versatile Fit: Spring mechanism and traditional boot tree shape ensure compatibility with a wide range of R.M. Williams boots and other leather styles.

How to Use Your Cedar Boot Trees:

Using cedar boot trees properly helps maintain the shape of your boots, absorb moisture, reduce creasing and keep leather healthy over time.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Wear Your Boots First
Wear your boots as normal - the leather warms and slightly expands during use. This helps the boot tree fit better when you insert it.

  2. Insert After Wearing
As soon as you take your boots off - ideally within a short time - gently place the boot tree inside. Make sure it sits all the way to the toe with the heel block snug against the back.

  3. Ensure a Snug Fit
The spring-loaded design will apply light, even pressure. The fit should feel supportive without forcing the leather apart.

  4. Let Them Rest
Leave the boot trees in overnight or between wears. Cedar naturally absorbs moisture and helps leather dry back into its original shape rather than creasing or shrinking.

  5. Remove Before Wearing
Take the boot trees out before you put your boots on again. This keeps the pressure gentle and ensures maximum comfort when you’re wearing them.

Why Use Cedar Boot Trees?

  • Preserves Shape: Helps prevent deep wrinkles and keeps the boot silhouette consistent.

  • Moisture Control: Cedar wood absorbs sweat and humidity that can damage leather over time.

  • Reduces Odour: Natural cedar scent helps freshen boots and deter bacteria.

  • Better Leather Health: Regular use between wears slows ageing and maintains durability.
